Who am I?

I am an organizational theorist who focuses on human service nonprofits. I work to provide a critical lens on how these organizations provide services to, and advocate for populations that have been historically oppressed and stigmatized. I have been practicing in the harm reduction and anti-criminalization field for close to twenty years, and am an advocate for the human rights and dignity of drug users and sex workers. I am happy to talk to anyone, but particularly early-career radical macro social work scholars who are unclear as to where their work fits in the professional social work field. Social work needs you and your work.

I currently live in St. Louis with my partner, our small daughter and our large dog.
